Side Curtain Semi-trailer
Product DescriptionMain Structure and Features
1. Curtain Sidewalls
Material: Typically made of high-strength, wear-resistant, waterproof, and UV-resistant PVC-coated fabric or Oxford cloth, offering excellent durability.
Function: The curtains are secured to the top rails and bottom crossbars via ropes or zippers. They can be easily opened to one or both sides, enabling fast, all-around loading and unloading of cargo.
2. Posts & Framework
Vertical metal posts (usually aluminum alloy to reduce deadweight) are located on both sides of the vehicle body. These posts are key structural components supporting the roof and bearing the tension of the curtains. The frame structure is lightweight yet sturdy, ensuring the vehicle's overall rigidity and load-bearing capacity.
3. Roof
The roof is usually covered by a tarpaulin. Some models are designed to be partially or fully opened to facilitate overhead loading (e.g., using a forklift).
4. Lashing System
Lashing points are typically integrated into the pillars on both sides of the vehicle's interior. The floor is also equipped with **lashing tracks (E-track or L-track), which allow for flexible use of straps, ropes, and other tools to secure cargo, effectively preventing it from shifting or collapsing during transport. This makes it particularly suitable for transporting cargo that requires securing, such as pallets and cartons.
5. Tailgate
The rear of the vehicle typically features a double-door or hydraulically-lifting tailgate, making it easy to load and unload cargo from the rear.
